THE OIL REVOLUTION

SANKE Station is one of the companies of the Group SANKE created in 1977.

The judicial status: The Group SANKE is a commercial company registered in the register of commerce of the city of San in the fourth region under the number 38 as an importer and exporter of all merchandise.

The activity of trade in hydrocarbons is exercised since March 1977 under the cover of the agreement n° 93/190 MCIT CAB of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Mali.

The first station was created in 1993, 12 years ago. Before, the Group SANKE sold oil products directly from the cistern, by 100 to 200 litres to the local merchants.

In 1993 the firm SANKE received its own license which allowed it to provision and import hydrocarbons from our neighbors: Togo, Benin, Nigeria, etc.

In 1993 the headquarters of Group SANKE were transferred from San (the birth place villageof its founder) to Bamako, the capital of Mali.

Two years later the second petrol station is built in one of the most known bus terminals in Mali's capital - "Auto Gare de Sogoniko."

En 1995, first in the oil products, Group SANKE was the only company to serve the whole company with petrol. This earned gratitude from the Minister of Finance of the time, Soumaila Cissé.

Always courageous and ambitious, the founder decided to build the third petrol station with a small storage depot of 1.500.000 litres capacity to satisfy the needs of his clients.

Today, the SANKE Stations are spread in order to occupy all the strategic points of the Mali's capital.

In the country side the company operates a station in Kita, in Kayes, two in San (the birthplace village of the Founder of the Group Sanke), two in Ségou and one in Koutiala. Supply of these points of sale in the interior of the country is assured by the vehicles of the Group.

The Group SANKE is in the first tier of oil companies since year 2000. This is confirmed by respect and credibility that the group enjoys from its suppliers such as SHELL, ADDAX ORYX, SAR, SIR and many others.

The founder received the International prize of merit from the Spanish periodical Actualidad:
